Meet Me
Hi! I’m Jess. My real name is Jessica, but I have always thought it was way too formal! Writing about yourself is always awkward, but here we go. I guess I will start with the fact that I LOVE my job. I love that I have the opportunity to pursue a passion with so much support from my loved ones.
I am not much of a gushy person unless you really get to know me, but watching other people's love stories truly warms my heart (especially cheesy rom coms). Everyone's stories are built differently, all with the common thread of love. Being able to capture that is a dream. I truly love my job and look forward to every shoot, collaboration, and meeting.
I live in Colorado in the Boulder area. I love being so close to my family, especially my nieces. I also enjoy traveling to as many new places as possible. I graduated from college in 2019 with a degree in Exercise Physiology. I still haven’t used my degree because of this fun passion I can call my job. Some things I find joy in are quality time with loved ones, tattoos, warm weather, volleyball, colorful sunsets, traveling, wearing comfy clothes, and handmade ice cream.
My Why
A few years ago, I got some photos taken of myself by a wonderful photographer. I connected with her as if we were best friends! She made me fall in love with every aspect of taking photos. She enlightened my experience by making me comfortable and laugh. When I got the gallery back, it truly showed who I was. Even now, I love the relationship I have with her. I want to be able to create that experience for others. I want to capture love stories, moments, feelings, and everything in between.
I have always taken photos with my parents’ or brother's camera when we went on various trips, but as I said, I fell in love with it more recently. I bought my first camera in 2021 and just started shooting lots of friends. I have mainly taught myself from online videos and just messing with the settings. Building your own business from the ground up and meeting some cool people along the way will always be some of my greatest memories.
My main goal as a photographer is to serve you 100%. I want it to feel more like a hangout rather than a photoshoot. Basically, we will meet up, chat, I will make you spin, cuddle in fields, run around, and have you move weirdly because that is what makes you laugh. When you are laughing and showing real emotions, that’s when the photos showcase the RAW you. I love having the opportunity to capture the sweetest moments of my clients. I want all of you to be able to look back at your photos and remember how you felt in those moments!
